It's the most wonderful time of the year...

This Christmas seems so special somehow!  It is our (Brad and I) first Christmas as husband and wife!  It has been fun incorporating traditions and habits from both sides of our families.  And I have come to realize that we can even create our own traditions!  :)
I am not quite sure what those would be yet.
Maybe it will just sorta happen and we will decide that that particular "happening" should become "tradition"...forever.
Our "children" are also experiencing their first Christmas.
Sammy has decided to make the tree skirt her new blanket.
And Betty has a few new toys to play with.  (she is behind the tv)
Besides the traditions and decorations and gifts, I was trying to think what makes Christmas so special.
It's a time where we put aside work and we focus on family and friends.  We are thankful for their faithfulness and love, even though miles and miles seperate us.
It's a time where we celebrate the birth of our Savior!  Without Him, we wouldn't even be celebrating eternal life and life with our family and friends.  We need Christmas all year round.
I think I feel a song coming on...
"Don't save it all for Christmas day.
Find a way to give a little love everyday.
Cuz holidays have come and gone.
But love lives on if we give on, give love."
